Nickelodeon is generally regarded as the first kids network. They even used to call themselves that on air. While they were the first full-fledged kids channel, there was another channel that predates Nick. No, I'm not referring to the Pinwheel channel on QUBE (if that counts, then there were 2, although it did evolve into Nick, I said "National Kids Channel" in the title to avoid confusion since the Pinwheel channel was just in Columbus), although I would say it's comparable in the sense that it was a show that was also a channel, except maybe shorter. I'm referring to Calliope, a "part-time" channel turned USA Network show. Here, I'll be writing about what I know about Calliope and how I got some of the info.
